The latest approval survey has the president tanking across all demographics. And the official Malacanang spin? "What is important for the President is results, not poll numbers". Must be nice to live in a fantasy world...

Spratly Plan, Passive-Aggressive or Just Plain Passive?


15 years ago, school taught me that the Spratly's were rightfully ours. These days it seems our government is just all to eager to bend over backwards to not "anger our neighbors". I wonder when our government will grow a spine and insist on claiming those islands as ours? Then again, why take from your neighbors when there's plenty to steal at home, right?

Another excuse to abuse power? Emergency powers eyed for GMA on rice.


Wow. It never ceases to amaze me how often "emergency powers" are considered and given to the president. I don't know if the administration just likes to sling around buzzwords that are meaningless or if they truly believe that these "powers" make any difference. Frankly, I don't know which scenario is scarier either.
